Diana Querales Flores is a 17 year old girl from the state of Apure who is currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-School Education at the Andres Bello Catholic University (UCAB).

Diana decided to study Education after having gone through a stage in which she was undecided about her studies. However, she found out about UCAB’s Educa 20/20 scholarship scheme and she thought it was a good opportunity to begin her training as an educator.

Pre-school education is a very nice career, because working with children means becoming a significant element for someone who, in the future, could change the country.

Because she has very little time studying at the university, she has not yet been able to enroll in any of the activities offered by UCAB. However, she says she would like to participate in one of these in the near future.

Diana has 100% of the economic support, with the benefit of food and housing. She is currently residing in an apartment in Montalbá where, thanks to the benefit provided by the scholarship program, she will remain living until she finishes her career.

Studying is important. The idea is not that a teenager leaves high school directly to work, because the university is a very beautiful stage of training and gives you that necessary bridge to the maturity of the world of work.

If young people don’t have the opportunity to study, I think this country will never work. Studying is the way for people to overcome themselves, and if they improve, I think the country will do the same.
