Christian Roballo is studying the eighth semester of Social Communication at the UCAB. He began his studies in 2014 and is currently studying Scriptwriting in the specialization of Audiovisual Arts. He hopes to finish the career in 2019. He is currently working in the group “1001 Ideas For My Country” as image coordinator.
Christian came to the UCAB because of the pensum. He comments that this is the only university that contains the specialization of Audiovisual Arts, which is what he always wanted to study. Also, he liked that the UCAB is recognized for its high academic level, therefore the quality also greatly influenced his decision.
During his studies, Christian made several contributions to university life. He is the founder of CineClub UCAB, Artistas UCAB and Geek Club, groups in which he still participates. About this, he says:
Each one of them attends to a niche of the UCAB students that had not been treated before and that needed a meeting point. Thanks to these, that portion of students now has a place to gather and meet people with similar tastes.
Since he began his studies, Christian has been helped by one of the financial support programs offered by the university. He is currently part of the educational funding program, which has covered between 50% and 60% of his total tuition, helping him to complete his studies.
I would like people to continue to believe in the talent of UCAB students and their ability to develop. Thanks to the financial support, many people who can’t afford to go to college on their own would be able to do so, therefore it’s a big contribution to their future.
